To See the Old Neighborhood.....

Part 3

"What!?"

"I know, Gohan, but that's what he said!" Goku said to his eldest son who now protectivly held his little baby daughter to his chest.

"But, dad," Gohan said, looking out the window to make sure Videl was still in the back yard, "I don't want to go. You just go ahead with out me!"

"Gohan, we CAN'T go unless you and Pan go," Goku said, trying to keep himself from forcing his son into it. His son could say NO he told himself, and that would be it. No arguing.

Gohan looked down and asked quietly, "Do you HAVE to go to Vegita-sei?"

Goku didn't say anything. But even with out a word his stance, his breath his, very presence gave away his want. He never was very good at hiding things, just as he wasn't now. Gohan knew, before he even looked into his father's eyes, that Goku wanted to go more than he could say.

And the look Gohan saw on Goku's face was one of need. His need to go was almost tormenting him, eating at him from the soul inward. All this was visible in those eyes. Those dark, intense eyes of a one Gohan held dearer than his own heart. Was that dearer than the life of his daughter? His own child?

"I'll go, if only for you," Gohan said, his eyes still locked with Goku's. His father smiled proudly, and he whispered, "Thank you."

Vegita was a bit more forceful. After dragging (literally) Goten and Trunks out of a sparring match, he stormed into the house to abduct his daughter.

"Oh! Vegita, you're home from your Saiyan vacation time early!" Bulma said as the Saiyan Prince came ragging through the house after telling Goten and Trunks to wait outside.

"Hush, woman, where's Bra?" Vegita said, allowing himself to get excited about the prospect of going to Vegita-sie. GOING TO VEGITA-SIE!!! A place where being a Saiyan Price would REALLY pay off!

He also LIKED the thought of his children being around REAL warriors. Saiyan warriors. It would be good infulence. Oh, jolly! Being able to see the planet himself! This was great!

"Bra's in her room," Bulma started to say, but Vegita had already rushed off to get her. He reappered a few seconds later with the little girl under his arm.

"Vegita! What's going on here-mph!" Bulma started to yell, but was cut off when Vegita swept her off her feet with his free hand, planted a big kiss on her, set her back down again, and flew out the door yelling back in an incredibly happy voice, "We're goin' to Vegita-sei! Tell Kakarot's wife!"

"WHAT!" Bulma shreiked, but her husband was already far out of hearing.

Bulma sat on her kitchen floor for a minute, in absolute silence, then yelled off in the direction Vegita had flown in, "WHADDYA NEED BRA FOR!!??!!"

But she got no answer.

Vegita, with Bra carefully tucked under his arm and Trunks and Goten following close behind, was the first to return.

Noone seemed amazingly over joyed to see him, "OH, I'm SO happy to see you made it back!"

Vegita ignored him and looked around for a second.

"Now where the hell is Radditz!?" Vegita asked loudly, looking around like a feral hunter.

"He....he went," Nappa said, a bit frightened of Vegita's savege looking face.

"He went to say goodbye to some woman," Turles said, sounding descusted, "I think her name was Data, or Cane-nuh of something like that."

"WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!" Vegita yelled at the person closest to him, who at the time was Goten.

"Gack!" Goten said, jumping back and rubbing his ringing ears, "What did I do!?"

Vegita almost started hollering again, but stopped when Bra started to whimper. All the yelling had frightened her. Vegita hoisted the little girl up so he could pat her head and sooth her. Bra settled down, and neither Turles of Nappa dared to laugh that their Prince was trying to comfort a crying child.

"Sorry we took so long!" the small group turned to see Kakarot and Gohan flying in for a landing. Gohan was holding his daughter in a death grip, and the look on his face said was less than exstatic, "We had to say bye to Videl........hey were's Radditz?"

"He went to tell Flayna he was leaving," Turles said, sheilding his eyes with his hands as he searched the sky for the missing Saiyan.

"You mean Dayna?" Kakarot said, then tilted his head to look behind him, "Oh, here he comes!"

And, true to Kakarot's work, Radditz flew to a landing beside Turles.

"What took you so long?" Turles asked, "Vegita was fixing to have a heart-attack!" Vegita resisted the urge to massacre the other Saiyan right then and there.

"Oh, no need for unplesantries!" Noone hooted, smiling brightly though no one could see it, "Now that you're all here, I should say the rest of the rules!"

"What's with THIS guy?" Trunks whispered to Goten, "He seems happier than Dad after he wins a fight!" Goten merely shrugged.

"Hoo kee! I already said the first rule!" Noone said, stroking his chin as he tried to remember the others.

"First.....rule?" Goten said, and looked to Trunks for the answer. Trunks just shook his head.

"Oo oo! I should tell ya all how it's going to be done, first!" Noone said, seeming excited at the prospect of expaining,"We're going to be sending you as a close group, like peas in a pod! Oh, how cute!"

Gohan blinked rapidly a few times in surprise, but didn't say anything.

"I AIN'T no pea!" Nappa said, but once more was ignored by Noone, "And I AIN'T 'cute'!!"

"Anyway," Noone said his favorite word, "This means that you have to come back as you came."

"Um.....how else would we come back?" Goku asked, looking questioningly at Gohan and Radditz.

"Dead, of coarse!" Noone cheered, smiling happily.

"Oh, naturally," Turles mumbled.

"What I mean is," Noone said, "Is that one of you can't die. If one of you dies, I won't be able to send you back to this planet, meaning you'll stay on Vegita-sei permanantly."

"You mean Vegita-sei is going to be back FOREVER!?"

"Hmm?" Noone said, "Oh! No. But if you stay there, yes!"

"Hoo kee............." Goten looked to Trunks, who looked to Vegita, who raised his eye-brow. No one presant quit got it.

"So if one of you dies," Noone said this in a dreadfully cheerful voice, "The survivors will be stranded there, and as long as they're there and alive, so will the planet! You can stay there as long as you like, but you won't be able to come home until everyone agrees. Right?"

"Gotcha," Gohan said hesitantly.

"Next rule," Radditz said.

"Next and last rule," Noone looked surprisingly serious, "DO NOT blow their minds. They won't remember their deaths, unless they have reason to doubt reality. DO NOT show them your true power, and DO NOT let them see Super Saiyan forms. If they notice your true power, they will start to doubt, and then they will remember. If that happens, I don't know WHAT will happen."

"Fine," Vegita said, "Now lets go!"

"Ucky duck!" Noone returned to his normal ditzy self, and they weren't on Earth anymore.

They were on Vegita-sei.
