Endangered Saiyans

Part 12

After eating a senzu, Vegita stayed in the house for a while. He was having a bad day, and just wanted to pout for a bit.

Out side, Goku and the gang (minus Nappa, Radditz, and Turles) were trying to clean up some of the mess the fight had made.

Things weren't going well, however.

Half the forest was in shambles, there was the door that Vegita had busted off it's hinges, there was that rather large crater in the front yard, and that's not mentioning the destruction Vegita had caused IN the house before he came raging out. Goten and Trunks had yet to return, and everyone suspected they wouldn't until at least the next day........if they were smart.

"You could have blown up the house!!"Chichi, as always, wasn't going to let this one slid, "I can't believe you didn't even think of that!!"

"Chichi....I-"Goku wasn't sure what to say.

"Goku.....just don't talk right now," Chichi said as she picked up the remains of the front door. It was heavily singed. Chichi sighed, and tried to fit the door back into it's frame.

Turles just stood on top of the house and watched. Nappa and Radditz spoke quietly in the distance.

All the repairs that could be done were done. Videl had to take Pan home because she was getting tired. Bulma was about to take Bra home, too, but before she left, she pulled Chichi aside and insisted that she take some money to cover damage for the fight.

"Oh, Bulma," Chichi said, "We don't need any money. We really can take care of it...."

"Chichi, just take it," Bulma forced a rather expensive looking bill into Chichi's hand, "Vegita's the one who started it. I'm real sorry, he has been very short tempered lately."

"Oh......well....," Chichi just smiled gratefully, "Thanks."

"Hay, no problem! I gotta pay for this kind of damage all the time!"

With that said, Bulma got into her aircar. She had asked Vegita if he wanted a ride home, but he QUICKLY declined. Bulma strapped Bra into her seat, and they were off.

Goku walked over to Gohan, who was still under that tree, and asked, "Will you go spar with me?"

Gohan looked up kind of surprised. Goku knew Gohan didn't like to spar.

"Why don't you just ask Vegita?" Gohan wondered aloud.

"Well, I kinda' want to try out a move I made up, but I've never done it before," Goku explained, "It might take a few tries, and I don't think Vegita would have enough patience. Besides, he's still REAL sore with me, and I seriously doubt he would want to HELP me improve my fighting tacktics."

"Well...." Gohan remembered how only a short time ago he had said he would start training again......"Sure, dad, Okay. Hay, what is this new move of yours?"

Goku smiled, glad he had asked, "Well, it taked energy to form a chi blast, right?"

"Yeah....,"Gohan said, trying to think of what his father could be thinking of.

"And it taked even more energy to withstand a chi blast fired at you, right?"

"Yeah....chi blasts usually need to be cancled out with an even stronger chi blast," Gohan said, the conversation was starting to attreact the attention of Turles, Radditz, and Nappa, who were near by.

"Well, what if you could become STRONGER immidiatly after being hit by a chi blast?" Goku was getting excited by just explaining it.

"Stronger?" Gohan was puzzled, "How could ya' do THAT?"

"I know how to gather energy in a Genki dama so....."

"You wanna try to figure a way to gather energy from a chi blast!" Gohan exclaimed, considered, then added, "But it taked a long time to gather energy for a Genky dama......you wouldn't have that much time. And wouldn't it be kinda' hard to gather energy from something as SMALL as a chi blast?"

"Your right," Goku nodded, eyes closed, "It would take lotsa' concentration and practice," Goku grinned hopefully at his son, "But if it works...."

"You could take on people even STRONGER than you and win!!" Gohan said, Goku's excitment wearing off on him, "All your opponet has to do is fire apon you....."

"And I'll get stronger!" Goku said cheerfully.

"Dad!" Gohan's eyes looked almost eager, "That's brilliant!! Now there's no way you could die any more!!"

(A/N:Please don't criticize this attack. I thought long and hard about it for some time. I don't care if it can be done in real life or not. MY fic, MY rules. It's possible, here. However *grins* feel FREE to COMMENT about your thoughts about this attack. Please, unburden you mind. I SIMPLY ADORE OPPINIONS!!!)

Goku smiled at his son's excitment. Gohan was as eager to try expirimenting this new tecnique as Goku!!

"Hold on a second, Kakarot," Radditz called to Goku, who was about to tell Chichi he was leaving, "I would like to see this. Interesing theory. Mind if I watch?"

"Uh...Sure," Goku was too excited to bother arguing, "The more the merrier!!"

Turles cleared his throat, then said, "I too would like to witness this......"

"This I gotta' see!" Nappa said.

"Sure!" Goku kinda like the thought of an audience watching his little expiriment.

Not even Gohan argued. He was too excited to try out this new move. He especially like the thought that this was more of a defencive manuver, rather than an attack. And if this worked, maybe others could learn to master it, too!! No more worrying about people dying in combate!! The stronger the opponent, the stronger Earth's special forces could be!! This was a breakthrough!!

Chichi would normally have told Goku he couldn't go, but when she saw the excitment in Gohan's face, too, she agree they could go. For a little while at least.

Goku, Gohan, Turles, Nappa, and Radditz took off for a suitable practice site.
