Endangered Saiyans

Chapter 14

They practiced for hours on end. Goku could never hold the power he absorbed for more than an hour, before he had to release it, in one way or an other. He did learn, however, that he could release the energy by just fighting with his hands, though he had to push the energy out very hard and fast by attacking furiously.

They tried harder, and larger chi blasts, and Goku started to have to fire the chi blasts he realesed into the air to avoid destroying the planet. Gohan started to release more and more chi blasts at a time, and when Goku was able to catch fifty-two in a row, he said, "Alright, now try as a Super Saiyan."

Gohan paused. He didn't mind tossing chi blasts at Goku as he was, for he knew he couldn't hurt Goku much, even if he threw his hardest attack. As a Super Saiyans, however, and his dad stayed the same, he might be seiously injured. Plus, Goku hadn't released the energy from all the other chi blasts he had just absorbed. Things weren't as fun, now. Things were serious.

"Dad.....," Gohan said, looking helpless.

"Gohan," Goku's face was stern, "If I'm ever going to need to use this in a fight, I will need to get used to harnessing incredible power. I plan to only have to use this tecnique if my opponent is stronger than me, and that's gotta be some strong chi. It will take lots of practice, and control. I need to expiriance great power. Now do it."

Gohan looked like he wanted to argue, but instead went Super Saiyan.

"Erk!" Nappa yelped, as he, Radditz, and Turles were forced back a few hundred feet in the air before they gained control. Gohan's sudden power increase had swept out around him, and pushed all the dirt beneath him away for a good many paces.

"Are you sure your ready for this?" Gohan was still concerned, "We could always stop now and try it tomarrow-"

"No," Goku said with conviction, "We may as well do it now."

Gohan sighed and started to form a small chi blast.

"No," Goku said, his face serious, "Go with a stronger one."

"Dad!" Gohan said, still holding his smaller blast, "Let's try this one first! If you can handle this, we'll go higher, kay?" Gohan's eyes were pleading.

Goku hesitated for an instant, then nodded his head, and lowered his body so he could be more ready to recieve. Gohan threw the chi ball at Goku, hoping agenst hope that his father knew what he was doing.

Goku caught the blast, and quickly absorbed it.

"Yaaah!" Goku screamed, and once again he was surrounded by an unintentional aura. Still screaming, Goku's hair rose and turned whitish gold.

"What the....?" Goku knew he had turned Super Saiyan the instant it happened, but he had no control over it. When he finally got his aura under control, he looked at his transformed body in surprise.

"What happened?" Gohan asked, wide eyed.

"I....I...," Goku was trying to figure it out himself, "I guess......that by absorbing the power of a Super Saiyan.....I then had the power of a Super Saiyan."

"Wierd," Gohan said quitly.

"Yeah, I know-" Goku cut off his sentance and quickly turned his body and fired a collosal chi blast up through the Earth's atmosphere. The blast moved incredibly fast, and, judging from the explotion, it blew up one of the planets in the solar system.

"Oop," Goku said, hand covering mouth.

"Hoo! I think we've done enough for one day.....," Gohan said, shielding his eyes with his hand as he watched the almost pretty sparkle of the exploding planet that seemed like it was right above them, even though it millions of miles away.....

"Did....," Nappa asked no one in particular, "Did he just blow up a planet all the way from here!?!"

"Yep," Radditz said, almost gone crazy from shock again, "And all he said was 'oop'."

"Thought so," Nappa said, eyes wide. Turles just stared.

"Hay!" Goku cried cheerfully to the three shocked Saiyans, "We're leaving now!"

They stared dumbly at Goku as he changed from Super Saiyan back into his normal form.

"Remind me NOT to pick a fight with those two.....,"Radditz murmered, ".....ever....ever, again."

"Ditto," Turles mumbled back.

They followed Kakarot and his son back to their home.

When they reached the Son home just as the sun was setting, they found everyone had gone home. Chichi was sitting comfortably in a rockingchair, trying her best to mend one of Goku's many worn out gi's. (A/N: I was going to say she was mending one of Goku's socks, but then realized he doesn't wear socks......ew. Considering all the fighting he does, he must work up a real sweat.....I REALLY don't think I want to be around when Goku takes those boots of his off. Hay! I could write a fic about that......)

Turles, Nappa, and Radditz stood uncomfortably in the living room with Goku and Gohan.

"Chichi! We're hooooooooome!" Goku called through the house. Chichi rushed into the living room and, ignoring the other Saiyans in the house, ran to Goku and said, "Goten hasn't come back yet! Where could he be?"

"Probably hiding from the wrath of Vegita," Gohan said, and Nappa was sure he senced a speck of sarcasm there.....

Chichi sighed, and smiled a little at Gohan's comment, "I can't help but worry about him when he's out alone at night. I wish Vegita could hold on to his temper a little so he would stop frighening the children into hiding for a few days....."

Gohan snickered, "Vegita? Civil? Oh, mom, that would change him from the Vegita we all kow and love!"

Nappa was insulted that this trash would insult the great Prince Vegita, but held his tounge when he remembered their power.

Chichi looked like she might laugh at Gohan's crack, but instead asked, "Could you two go out and find Goten, please? He never brushes his teeth when he goes camping, and he comes back with real monster breath-"

"Sorry, Chichi," Goku said, eyes appologising more than he could ever say, "Goten and Trunks are hiding their chi's. We won't be able to find them till they want to be found.

"Well....," Chichi tried to think of a way to find her youngest son, "Could you look for him anyway? You might find-"

"Mom," Gohan said, putting his hand on Chichi's shoulder, "They could be anywhere on the planet, by now," Gohan looked at his watch, and was surprised at how long he and Goku had been training, "I really gotta get home."

"Oh, I forgot to tell you," Chichi said, "Videl called. She needs you home at eight! It's seven fifty two right now! Can you make it home on time?"

Gohan smiled, "Yeah, I'll make it hime early if I fly fast. Videl probably wants me to hold Pan for a while. She cries whenever no one is holding her and can't stand to be put down. Videl has been holding her all day, I guess it's my turn."

"Ya know," Turles said with an evil grin, "You could make that kid REAL quiet if you tore out her voice box. It's worked for me before."

The Son family stared at him in absolute horror. Gohan slowely mad his way to the door, saying behind him as he left, "I coulda lived my whole life through happily without hearing that," he shuddered and added as he reached the door, "And I don't doubt for an instant that you've done it before."

Once Gohan left, Nappa asked the question no one really wanted to answer, "What do we do now?"

Goku and Chichi exchanged looks. Goku went upstairs, and returned with something small in his hand that the Saiyans couldn't quite make out.

"Follow me!" Goku said, and went outside.

Radditz and Turles shrugged to eachother and followed, Nappa behind them.

In the yard (the one NOT desroyed by Goku and Vegita's fight) Goku showed them what he had in his hand.

It was a capsule.

Goku clicked it, and tossed it to the ground. Turles, Radditz, and Nappa all jumped when it exploded in a cloud of.....mist? Smoke? (A/N: What IS that stuff, anyway?)

When the cloud dissapeared, there stood another small house, similar to the one the Son family was currently living in.

"Yeah, I was kinda surprised the first time I saw one of them, too," Goku said when he noted that all three Saiyan's eyes were kind of large, "It's called a capsule house. Go on in! Your in luck. This one has three bedrooms. You guys can stay here till you find a real place to stay."

The Saiyans went inside, and didn't show any signs of coming back out again.

"Huh, guess they're not gonna say good night," Chichi said from the door way, "They didn't even thank us."

"You didn't really expect them to, did you?" Goku said as he followed his wife into the house.

"I guess not," Chichi said, "I guess not."
